America’s Neighborhood Ice Cream Brand Shares Delicious Frozen Treats at Local Events Throughout The Big Apple

– From baseball games to bike rides in Central Park, the summer in New York City is like no other.   To celebrate its love for the Big Apple, Good Humor® will launch its “Share the Love” campaign to surprise and delight New Yorkers by giving away thousands of delicious frozen treats throughout the city this summer.

To kick off the campaign, one of New York’s ‘s most beloved baseball icons, former New York Mets pitcher John Franco, will join Good Humor® at Bryant Park on Thursday, June 27 as the first stop on the summer-long “Share the Love” tour.   Franco will help celebrate the launch by handing out free, classic Good Humor® frozen treats to baseball fans and ice cream lovers alike.

“I was born and raised in New York, and have many special memories of summers in the city from both my professional and personal life,” says Franco.  “I’m looking forward to helping Good Humor® bring some of America’s most beloved frozen treats – and of course summer fun – to my fellow New Yorkers.”

As part of its Share the Love Campaign, the Good Humor® company is sharing frozen treats across its seven ice cream brands all summer long. The new Good Humor® Truck will serve up free frozen treats at the following locations in New York City – with some unexpected stops along the way – to surprise and delight residents this summer:

—  Weekly: HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival (Monday evenings each week,
from June 17 – August 26) – Bryant Park
—  June 27: Bryant Park and other surprise locations throughout the day
—  June 30: Pride Fest, the annual LGBT street fair in the West Village
—  July 20: 8(th) Avenue Festival, 14(th) to 23(rd) Streets in Chelsea
—  July 28: Columbus Avenue Festival, 66(th) to 72(nd) Streets on the Upper
West Side
—  August 25: Amsterdam Avenue Festival, 79(th) to 86(th) Streets on the
Upper West Side
In addition to enjoying a classic Good Humor® bar, visitors to the Good Humor® truck will be invited to capture moments of joy at a special photo booth where they can share animated gifs directly with their social media networks.
