MILLER NAMED CCM ECHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH Forward is Tied for ECHL Lead with 26 Points

The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Toronto Marlies, announced today in conjunction with the ECHL that F Greg Miller has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for November. Miller will be recognized at an upcoming Solar Bears game.

Miller finished November with 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points in 14 games and is tied for the ECHL lead with 26 points this season. He is currently on a Greg Miller13-game point streak, the longest in Solar Bears history, and has helped Orlando to an 8-3-0 record through the first 11 games of their 13 game road trip. Miller has posted eight multiple point games during the month, and had three point efforts against Cincinnati on November 13 (2 goals, 1 assist), and Toledo on November 28 (1 goal, 2 assists). He finished the month with a +11 rating, and was even or better in 13 of the 14 games.

In his ECHL career, Miller has scored 77 points (34 goals, 43 assists) in 73 games with Orlando, Bakersfield, and Stockton, and along with co-leading the league in points (26), he is tied for the league lead with 13 goals. He has played in 13 games in the American Hockey League with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Oklahoma City Barons during his professional career, notching two assists.

Prior to joining the professional ranks, Miller played four seasons for Cornell University (NCAA), completing his career with 34 goals and 64 assists for 98 points in 129 games. The native of Toronto, ON, was named the ECAC (East Coast Athletic Conference) Best Defensive Forward in his senior season (2012-13) while also leading Cornell in goals (14) and points (33).
